The name above all names When I was about 10 years old, before I had decided to become a Christian, or knew you could have a friendship with God, there was a house I was always afraid of walking past. I felt fear each time. I don't know why. It looked like any other house. The second time I had to walk past this house I found myself saying "Jesus loves me" over and over untill I got past it. The name of Jesus made me feel safe somehow so after that I continued to repeat the sentence whenever I had to walk past the house. 1981: I was pregnant with my first child Natalie. I dreamt that a lady was trying to kill the fetus. I woke up with terrible abdominal pains and found myself crying out the name of Jesus. Immediately the pains dissapeared. Early on in the pregnancy I fell and was worried that I would miscarry. I prayed that God would protect the baby and God did. We named her- Natalie Hazel, God's Christmas gift to us - conceived on Christmas day protected by God. After our first child I had a number of further miscarriages(I had about 7 miscarriages over the years. Four of them required hospital treatment). After the 3rd or 4th a doctor wanted to stop me from becoming pregnant again. He said that I would probaby never have another child. I said no. I believed that nothing was impossible for God. I prayed and God gave us two more children. August 2007: I was driving home and suddenly a lady came driving out of a side road and began to cross to the other side of the road in front of me. When I saw that I was going to hit her I found myself crying out the name of Jesus. Immediately she braked. I swearved onto the other side of the road risking it as I could not see how close the oncoming traffic was. There was enough room for me to get around! Jesus is the name above all names. I have called upon Him in my times of trouble and He has answered me. |
